Roper Boot - Cognac

This boot caught my eye as I wanted something to wear casually with jeans that had a rubber sole.
I just got them so can’t speak to construction quality, but it’s a good-looking boot.
I order 10.5-11 shoes depending on brand. 10.5 in this which is what I wear in Tecovas seems just right or even just a pinch big.
Only thing is these are extremely high priced, even more than Tecovas, so hope it’s worth it.
The coloring probably varies a lot with leather, but the photos on the website clearly make it look like a rich dark brown color & the actual boots I received are basically tan. It’s still a nice color but a bit misleading they don’t seem nearly as dark brown.

These are a Christmas gift for my son, so can't give a full review. They look great but will have to come back to see how he likes them, and their comfort. He's a Tecova guy, so we'll have to see how they compare comfort wise. Will be back with review after Christmas.

Comfortable out of the box, sizing is slightly larger. I typically wear a size 11 but proper fit was 10.5 in this boot.

These boots are outsourced to some generic manufacturer who most likely makes a version with the same materials and craftsmanship of a price point Catepillar/Wolverine boot you would find at Shoe Depot or Academy. The only difference is stamping Onward Reserve and adding a $150+ premium to them. Honestly, it’s a $99 boot, at best.

Exactly what I was looking for at a good price. BUT, when they arrived, the color was a very light tan. Nothing like the dark color shown online. Sent them back. Return process easy tho
